Todd Bouman
During the remainder of the 2001 NFL season, quarterback Todd Bouman expected to play for the Minnesota Vikings. Against Pittsburgh finished 11 of 15 passes for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns in just one quarter of action which was incidentally his first wide action of the season. Bouman in union with AFC-leading Steelers brought the Vikings back from a 21-3 loss but unfortunately couldn't complete the comeback as Pittsburgh held on to win 21-16. Even though they faced the defeat, Bouman was felicitated by his head coach and team mates for his dazzling effort in relief of Pro Bowler Daunte Culpepper, who walked out of the game due to knee injury. Vikings head coach Dennis Green said: "Todd Bouman did an excellent job coming in and replacing Daunte Culpepper. We've always had confidence that Todd could go in and do a good job."
